The Story
My son and I fished this bike frame out of the dumpster behind the Fort Collins Bike Co-Op. it looked rough but had good bones. We chose it for a “dumpster to dream bike” build and used the frame as an opportunity for my first candy paint project and to prototype the “anodized titanium” candy fade look.
The bike now rocks all modern components in a mini-mullet (27.5 front, 26 rear) wheel setup, a 12-speed SRAM drivetrain, a Rockshox air fork, a dropper post, and Shimano hydraulic disc brakes.
It’s now a ripper of a hardtail and I’m stoked for its new home for whoever it speaks to at the Co-Op.
