About
Sendy Custom Shop is a one-person boutique bike studio I run out of my garage in Erie, Colorado.
I'm Brandon Hays. Back in 2020, I got my first mountain bike since the 90's, and was scared to touch any component of a bike until my friend Travis helped me set up my tires as tubeless. It was unfathomable to me that someone would work on their own bikes instead of taking them to a professional.
Obviously things have changed since then.
I fell down the rabbit hole and now I've built dozens and dozens of bikes in my garage, then getting into painting with rattle cans, and stepping my game up to learn professional techniques for spraying custom paint jobs.
Much of the inspiration for Sendy Custom Shop comes from Oldshovel, whose YouTube videos are lovely and therapeutic community-oriented restorations of classic bikes. I want to take that same spirit of "giving old things new life" and bring in my own idea of "no more boring bikes."
This isn't a high-volume bike factory, or a museum. It's a personal workshop where I take on projects that excite me, mostly for friends, family, and the occasional paying customer. If you're as stoked as I am about making a bike look unique and exciting, then taking it out and thrashing it on the trails, maybe get in touch.
The Workshop
Based in Erie, Colorado, my garage studio is set up for everything from full tear-downs to custom paint jobs. Basically everything except storing cars. Every build gets the same attention to detail, whether it's a personal project or a paid commission.
